Custom Chrome holds grand opening

By Cindy Gilpatrick, Editor

JAY — Custom Chrome opened with the first of “many yearly open houses” according to owners and childhood friends, Allen Adams and Richard Cushing. Located next to the Jay Car Wash, Custom Chrome offers unique and reliable vehicles, from classics to late model cars and trucks.

With their roots in the tri-town area and over 20 years together in business both Adams and Cushing decided it was time to move to a location closer to home. Both men live and work in the area along side their family and friends. Adams at the Livermore Falls Water District and Cushing at Verso Paper.

The open house was a huge success that brought in more than 100 people stopping by to visit and wish the duo the best. With family and friends helping to man the grills, plenty of hot dogs and burgers were on hand as well as cold drinks and a wide variety of snacks. Daughters Cheynne and Brooke Cushing were in charge of the children’s area which included games and face painting.

Entertainment for the evening included an open mic as well as Cody DeMillo and Adam Mitchell performing on guitar and vocals.

Custom Chrome is open Monday through Saturday from 10-5.
