Moosa, Angela looking for their ‘special someone’

FARMINGTON — Moosa and Angela are the Pets of the Week at the Franklin County Animal Shelter.

Dog of the Week Angela is a 5-year-old female lab mix, and shelter staff are surprised the friendly dog who looks and acts younger than her age — especially when performing the “lab wiggle” — has not yet been adopted. Angela enjoys being outside, exploring trails and town. She has excellent car manners when safely tethered in the back seat, and she enjoys car rides. She is working on her advanced leash and obedience skills and responds quickly and willingly to correction, learning new skills with enthusiasm. She seeks a special human who can give her the life she deserves.

Cat of the Week Moosa is 1 to 3 years old. He is sweet and gets along with most everyone he meets. Although he is picky about his canine friends, he loves people and likes to meet shelter visitors.

Angela, Moosa and other pets may be visited at the shelter from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays at 550 Industry Rd. Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, microchipped and have had nail trims. The shelter also rehomes barn cats, livestock and other pets.
